Q. What size bed should I order for my pet?

A. Dogs and cats come in all shapes and sizes and the bed needed will depend on how your pet sleeps. Before placing an order please ensure your chosen bed size provides your pet with sufficient space to stretch out and rest in comfort. Please refer to the sizing guide below which is designed to help you choose the most suitable size for your pet. If you still can’t decide please give me a call to discuss your pet’s needs.

Q. Can I order a sample of fabric?

A. Yes, I am happy to send samples of fabric free of charge. Simply email me at enquiry@spotted-hound.co.uk with your name, address and details of the fabric(s) you require.

Q. How can I pay for my goods?

A. I use PayPal to process the majority of payments as this allows you to pay for goods using your own PayPal account or major debit and credit card. I do not receive any information about your bank account from PayPal.

I also accept payment by cheque but no goods will be despatched until your cheque has cleared.

Q. How much will shipping cost?

A. The cost of shipping is calculated at checkout. Beds and replacement pillows are charged at £5.95 each and spare covers are charged at £2.95 each.

Q. Do you deliver outside the UK?

A. At present Spotted Hound products are only shipped to UK addresses.

Q. How long will my order take to arrive?

A. Your order will arrive within 14 calendar days following payment and confirmation of your order. Each bed and cover is hand made to order and will be despatched as soon as completed and quality checked. You will receive an email confirming despatch. 

Q. What is your returns policy?

A. I hope you and your pet love your purchase, but should you wish to return an unsuitable item I am happy to offer an exchange or a refund (including delivery charge) provided the item is returned unused and in perfect condition within 14 calendar days of receipt (excluding bespoke orders). Please note I do not refund the return postage fee unless the product is faulty, but if you are exchanging an item there will be no additional shipping charge.

Q. Where do I send my returns?

A. Please enclose your completed returns slip with the item you are returning and post via Royal Mail to:

Spotted Hound Hand Made Pet Beds, The Grange, 30 Willow Lane, Cranwell Village, Sleaford, Lincolnshire NG34 8DQ. I recommend obtaining a tracking receipt to enable you to track the delivery of your returned item.

Q. What packaging do you use to protect goods in transit?

A. Goods are despatched in waterproof recycled polythene mailbags. Occasionally I may package smaller items using recycled wrapping from my suppliers.

Q. Are Spotted Hound beds chew proof?

A. My beds are well made but are no match for determined chewers! If your pet is prone to chewing I recommend inspecting his or her bed regularly for signs of damage. For your pet’s safety a damaged bed should be replaced, as beds and their contents may be harmful if eaten. 

Q. Are my personal details protected when I buy goods from Spotted Hound?

A. Yes, the information you provide is kept securely and will only be used in relation to your order. Your information will never be shared with third parties.

Q. What should I do with my pet’s old bed?

A. Please consider donating your pet’s unwanted bedding to your local rescue centre. Most organisations rely on donations from the public and your pet’s old bed may provide comfort for a dog or cat in need. 

Q. What happens to your fabric offcuts?

A. Rather than pay to dispose of offcuts generated by Spotted Hound I use these to make beds for animals in local rescue centres. I also donate hand made bones to local charities to use for fundraising and show prizes. Find out more on my Needy Paws page which can be accessed at the foot of each web page.

Q. What are the trading hours of Spotted Hound?

A. My office hours are 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).

Q. Where can i buy Spotted Hound products?

A. Products can be ordered from the online shop or you can visit me at local events. See my calendar of events at the foot of each page of the website.
